Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 20-year-old of Latin American ethnicity that occurred in a park.

The coroner’s office has identified the individual as Gia Galaviz.

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 11:23 a.m.

* In late August, along with publishing the cause of death, the medical examiner changed the decedent’s gender from male to female, as well as the forename from Giovani to Gia.
