(L.A.) Garrett Schaefer, 36, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Garrett Schaefer.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Acetyl Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Alprazolam Toxicity

RIP GARRETT SCHAEFER (July 10, 1987 – December 16, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 4:15 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling in June the following year, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
