(L.A.) Fernando Leon Figueroa, 26, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Fernando Leon Figueroa.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Difluoroethane Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 10:04 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in March 4, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is a so-called huffing death.

DFE is a commonly abused inhalant due to its availability in products like compressed air and keyboard cleaners.
