(L.A.) Evyonne Hall, 43, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Black female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Evyonne Hall.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Perforated Colon

Cause of Death B: Complications of Diverticulitis

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 11:48 a.m.

Both cocaine (a stimulant) and hydrocodone (an opioid pain medication) can have significant effects on multiple organ systems. Hydrocodone, specifically, is associated with increased risk for gastrointestinal complications, including constipation, increased intracolonic pressure, and exacerbation of diverticular disease, which can increase the risk of diverticulitis and its complications, including perforation.

The combination of cocaine and opioids is particularly dangerous, as it can lead to cardiovascular instability, increased risk of overdose, and can mask symptoms of overdose, further increasing risk of death.
