(L.A.) Evelyn Nevarez, 65, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 65-year-old female that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Evelyn Nevarez.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Mitragynine Toxicity
RIP EVELYN NEVAREZ (March 14, 1959 – January 19, 2025)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 8:42 p.m.
This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose. Mitragynine is the most abundant active alkaloid in the Southeast Asian plant Mitragyna speciosa, commonly known as kratom.
The government investigator had initially misspelled the decedent’s forename as Eveylyn.
