(L.A.) Estanislao Garcia, 75, Died on a Street

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 75-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street in the Florence area.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Estanislao Garcia.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday evening.

The incident happened at San Pedro and 83rd streets.

LAPD said the decedent had been walking westbound within a crosswalk when he was
hit by a vehicle that was going north on San Pedro Street.

The driver stopped to remain on scene and cooperated with investigators.
