(L.A.) Ernest Nakatewa, 60, Died on a Bench

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old male whose body was found lifeless on a bus bench or public bench.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Ernest Nakatewa.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Acute and Chronic Alcohol Use

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.

The government investigator listed the decedent as “American Indian” — he was Native American.

Certain deaths are classified as accidents under the assumption that the users didn’t intend to kill themselves.
