(L.A.) Erin Armijo, 28, Died After Identification

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Erin Armijo of Downey.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death A: Anoxic Encephalopathy
Cause of Death B: Effects of Amphetamine and Fentanyl (Clinical)
RIP ERIN BRANDON ARMIJO (January 10, 1998 – June 24, 2026)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.
The decedent had been found unconscious on the ground on Omar Street in downtown L.A. on June 22. He was taken to L.A. General Medical Center, which put out a call for help in identifying the patient who had tattoos covering most of his body. Alumni of Downey High School positively identified him on a Facebook post. He soon passed away.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Erin B. Armijo had a lengthy criminal record going back more than 10 years with arrests for burglary, vandalism, drugs, and other offenses. He appeared already in trouble as a juvenile.
