(L.A.) Erik Carpio Vasquez, 28, Died in Westlake

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Latino male that occurred at an outside staircase.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Erik Carpio Vasquez.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity
RIP ERIK CARPIO VASQUEZ (September 3, 1994 – August 16, 2023)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 7:44 a.m.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 13, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.
The place of death is the same as that of Carlos Camilo.

Paramedics were called at around 7:30 a.m. to the 1300 block of West Second Street in the Westlake area for a medical emergency. They found two people dead. It was assumed that both men died from drug overdoses.
