(L.A.) Eriel Armendariz, 22, Died in a Tunnel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 22-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a tunnel.

The coroner’s office identified the young woman as Eriel Armemdariz [sic].

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Inhalation of Products of Combustion

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

The government investigator had initially listed the decedent’s place of death as an ambulance.

And indeed, the Department of Medical Examiner spelled the decedent’s surname as Armemdariz, instead of the common spelling Armendariz.
