(L.A.) Eric Onate, 41, Died at a Private Business

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a private business.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Eric Onate.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine and Ethanol

Other Significant Condition: Ethanol-Related Hepatic Cirrhosis

RIP ERIC ONATE (February 26, 1983 – September 11, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 22, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, substance overdose.
