(L.A.) Elyzza Guajaca, 24, Killed by a Car Doing Donuts

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 24-year-old female of Latin American ethnicity that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Elyzza Guajaca.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 11:52 p.m.

The decedent was struck and killed by a car doing donuts in the middle of the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and West Florence Avenue in the Hyde Park community of South Los Angeles. She was a spectator who, according to her family, loved “car culture” because of the Fast and Furious movies and had gone out to see the donut event.

The incident happened on Christmas Eve, December 24. Guajaca was taken to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries the following day.

The driver left the car at the crash scene and fled on foot.
