(L.A.) Elijah Harts, 29, Died in Santa Clarita

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 29-year-old male that occurred on a street in the Newhall area of Santa Clarita.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Elijah Harts and listed his race/ethnicity as Hispanic + White/Caucasian.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Chest

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.
The decedent apparently got into a fight at a Halloween Party and ended up being shot.
He had a rap sheet that included an arrest by Glendale PD in 2022 for having a ghost gun, inter alia.

A Halloween celebration turned deadly when gunfire erupted in a Santa Clarita neighborhood, leaving one person dead and another hospitalized.
The shooting occurred shortly before 11:15 p.m. Friday in the 25000 block of De Wolfe Road, just south of Lyons Avenue. Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station arrived to find two people suffering from gunshot wounds as dozens of partygoers — many still in costume — stood nearby.
Witnesses said one person dressed as a surgeon was seen providing first aid to one of the victims as deputies secured the scene around a Dodge Charger parked on the residential street.
Paramedics transported one victim to a trauma center in unknown condition. A second victim, described by authorities as beyond medical aid, was pronounced dead at the scene.
