Electoral Vote Challenge 2005 (2004)

Sen. Barbara Boxer and Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones objected to Ohio’s electoral vote in a joint session to certify the presidential election.

The 2005 Senate vote on the Barbara Boxer objection to the state of Ohio electoral votes was 74-1 with 25 not voting — 17 Republicans and 8 Democrats did not vote.

* Tubbs Jones died in August 2008 at the age of 58.

Boxer served as a United States senator for California until 2017.
