The coroner’s office has identified the man as Edward Terrones Sr.

Manner of Death: Undetermined

Cause of Death A: Sequelae of Hemothorax and Hemoperitoneum (Operated)

Cause of Death B: Status-Post Therapy for Status Epilepticus Following Mitral Valve Replacement Needing Anticoagulatio [sic]

Cause of Death C: Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Associated with Severe Calcific Mitral Valve Stenosis/Regurgitation

Other Significant Conditions: End-Stage Renal Disease on Hemodialysis (Status-Post Fistula Thrombectomy/Repair), Status-Post Therapy for Carina Tear with Bleeding

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 7:04 p.m.

The carina of trachea is a ridge of cartilage at the base of the trachea separating the openings of the left and right main bronchi.

This appears possibly iatrogenic.
