(L.A.) Edward Mompeller, 57, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 57-year-old male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Edward Mompeller and listed his race/ethnicity as White/Caucasian + Latino.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, and Phencyclidine Toxicity

RIP EDWARD DANIEL MOMPELLER (April 8, 1968 – September 2, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 5, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polydrug overdose.
