(L.A.) Edward Freer, 49, Died From Abusing Coke

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Edward Freer.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Gastrointestinal Bleed

Cause of Death B: Effects of Cocaine

RIP EDWARD FREER (December 3, 1975 – January 4, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 5:58 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
