(L.A.) Edward Atkins, 40, Died From a Head Shot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk in Lancaster.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Edward Atkins.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound to the Head

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 12:37 a.m.

The incident happened at an apartment complex in the 44700 block of 15th Street East, near Avenue J.
