(L.A.) Edgar Cruz, 21, Died in a Hotel/Motel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 21-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hotel/motel.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Edgar Cruz.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 7:30 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 16, presumably after the results of tox screening came back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Edgar Cruz” in public records.
