(L.A.) Dwight Neals, 31, Died in Long Beach

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Dwight Neals.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wounds of the Head

Peter Andrew Hairston was arrested for this crime on February 18. He would eventually plead no contest to voluntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting. In January 2026, he was sentenced to 32 years in state prison.
