(L.A.) Dorothy Glenn, 97, Died From Fentanyl

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 97-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Dorothy Glenn.

Manner of Death : Natural

Cause of Death : Hypertensive and Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition : Senile Dementia

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl

Other Significant Conditions: Hypertensive and Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease, Dementia, and Probable Urinary Tract Infection

RIP DOROTHY GLENN (December 13, 1926 – March 6, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 3:40 a.m.

On May 28, the Department of Medical Examiner stated that the decedent had died from heart disease.

On August 7, the DME changed the manner of death from natural to accident (unintentional drug overdose).

This is the oldest case of fentanyl death the county has ever seen.
