DoorDash: Nearly 5 Million Customers, Drivers and Merchants Affected In Data Breach

The food delivery service DoorDash has announced that it has experienced a data breach that has compromised information including order history, credit card numbers and driver’s licenses of approximately 4.9 million customers, drivers and merchants.

“Approximately 4.9 million consumers, Dashers, and merchants who joined our platform on or before April 5, 2018, are affected.”

The affected data include the driver’s license number of approximately 100,000 Dashers. In the industry lingo, a Dasher is a gig worker.
