(L.A.) Donald Bland, 72, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 72-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Donald Bland.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine and Methamphetamine Toxicity

Other Significant Condition: History of Hypertension and Diabetes

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late February, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
