(L.A.) Dominique Hughes, 28, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Black female that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Dominique Hughes.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP DOMINIQUE HUGHES (April 14, 1997 – April 18, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 9:57 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 6, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
