(L.A.) Dijon Kizzee, 29, Died on a Street

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 29-year-old Black male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Dijon Kizzee.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP DIJON KIZZEE (February 5, 1991 – August 31, 2020)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 3:27 p.m.

The decedent was shot 16 times after LA Sheriff’s Department tried to cite him for a supposed bicycle-riding violation.

In November 2022, it was announced that the deputies would not face criminal charges for the murder.

In May 2024, the county approved a $3.4 million settlement for the family of Dijon Kizzee.
