(L.A.) Desiree Chavarria, 19, Died from an OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 19-year-old Latin American female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office identified the young woman as Desiree Chavarria.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 5:35 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late September, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
