Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Black male that occurred at an intersection.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Deshawn Townsel.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Face

Deshawn Townsel, who was homeless, died on the sidewalk after being shot shortly before 2:30 a.m. near Vine Street and La Mirada Avenue. There have been no arrests in the case, and police have not publicly identified a motive nor suspect description.
