Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 57-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Derrick Palmer.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine Effects, Clinical

RIP DERRICK PALMER (1968 – December 2, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
