(L.A.) Demetrius Horride, 41, Died in a Motel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old Black male that occurred in a motel.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Demetrius Horride.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Cocaine, and Methamphetamine Intoxication

RIP DEMETRIUS HORRIDE (November 28, 1981 – September 20, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 11:14 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 28, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.

The archdiocese has indicated that the decedent may have been homeless / transient.
