(L.A.) David Garcia, 41, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as David Garcia of Downey.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 3:27 a.m.

The accident happened on June 4 at the intersection of Carson Street and Ostrom Avenue. It was around 6:10 p.m. that Thursday when Garcia, riding a 2022 Yamaha motorcycle, was traveling west on Carson Street behind another vehicle and changed lanes as the driver of a 2007 Ford Edge was making a left turn onto Carson Street. The motorcycle crashed into the Ford, leaving the rider with critical injuries.

He was hospitalized and survived for more than a month before dying on July 9.
