(L.A.) David Cano, 46, Died in La Puente

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street in La Puente.

The coroner’s office identified the man as David Cano.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday morning.

The decedent was in crash involving an undercover police vehicle in La Puente.

Officers with the Alhambra Police Department were operating an unmarked, undercover minivan/van while serving a search warrant in the area.

The incident happened at the intersection of East Amar Road and North Evanwood Avenue at around 5:45 a.m.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “David Cano” in public records.
