Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old Black male that occurred in a park.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Darrick Johnson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine and Phencyclidine Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 8:42 p.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
