(L.A.) Danny Hsieh, 37, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 37-year-old Asian male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Danny Hsieh.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Toxicity

Other Significant Condition: Cocaine Effects

RIP DANNY HSIEH (June 15, 1986 – July 21, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 1:37 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 29, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Note that the government investigator had initially misspelled the decedent’s surname as Shieh.
