The coroner’s office identified the man as Daniel Rojo Barraza. Born in Mexico.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Heroin Intoxication

Other Significant Condition: Acute Ethanol Intoxication

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-February, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, substance overdose.
