(L.A.) Daniel Amaya, 32, Died From Overdosing on Coke

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Daniel Amaya.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Hyperactive Delirium Syndrome with Severe Agitation

Other Significant Condition: Acute Cocaine Intoxication

RIP DANIEL AMAYA (September 14, 1991 – June 11, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 6:48 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 30, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental overdose.
