Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 52-year-old female that occurred on a highway.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Dancee Barrera and listed her race/ethnicity as White/Caucasian + Hispanic.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 4:43 a.m.
This was my mother. She had severe mental illness and should’ve been in her care facility. The facility lacked having a emergency contact for me or anyone else and just learned of this yesterday Jan 5th.
The medical examiner published her name the evening of January 4.
They usually wouldn’t release a decedent’s name without first informing a next of kin.
