Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 54-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Corey Shaw.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wounds of Back

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

The decedent was shot a few minutes before 10:00 p.m. in the area of 73rd Street and Broadway in South L.A.
