(L.A.) Corey Pickett, 42, Died in a Driveway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old Black male that occurred in a driveway.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Corey Pickett.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Right Arm/Chest
Other Significant Condition: Gunshot Wounds
RIP COREY PICKETT (May 29, 1977 – July 12, 2019)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:39 p.m.
The decedent was fatally shot in the Westmont area of South L.A.
LASD said the shooting happened outside a residence in the 1000 block of West 94th Street, where the victim was visiting family and friends.
Pickett and a friend were outside admiring a family member’s new car when a dark-colored sedan pulled up in front of the residence. The suspects’ vehicle stopped, and one male suspect exited the passenger side and opened fire.
Pickett was hit multiple times and died at the scene. Another man was injured but recovered.
The suspects were last seen heading east on 94th Street toward Vermont Avenue.
Los Angeles County’s Board of Supervisors has authorized a reward of $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this crime.
