(L.A.) Colby Young, 29, Died in a Parking Lot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 29-year-old Black male that occurred in a parking lot in East Hollywood.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Colby Young, born in San Bernardino County.

Height: 6 feet 3 inches / Weight: 235 pounds

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP COLBY DELANO YOUNG (November 20, 1995 – July 11, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

The decedent was apparently shot at around 2:00 a.m.

LAPD said the incident location was 4204 Beverly Boulevard, which is on the southwest corner with Normandie Avenue. The address belongs to a Yoshinoya in the Beverly Hills Plaza strip mall. Adjacent tenants include Subway, Amalia’s Guatemalan restaurant, Tacos la Chula, and a smoke shop. The area is just north of Koreatown proper.

* Decedent had a long rap sheet going back more than a decade — arrests for burglary, theft, drugs, shoplifting, battery, assault, robbery, etc.
