(L.A.) Claudia Cerda, 51, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Claudia Cerda.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP CLAUDIA CERDA (January 5, 1973 – October 9, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 8:11 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 15, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
