Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old Asian male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Chiming Chan.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: Hemorrhagic Thumb Wound

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 11:18 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 28.
