(L.A.) Charles Johnson, 69, Died From Drugs

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 69-year-old Black male.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Charles Johnson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Phencyclidine, Methamphetamine, and Cocaine Toxicity

RIP CHARLES JOHNSON (July 10, 1954 – August 12, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 9:40 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 27 the following year, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Charles Johnson” in public records.
