Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Catherine Minjares.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Septic Shock

Cause of Death B: Multilobular Pneumonia

Cause of Death C: Chronic Intravenous Narcotism

Other Significant Condition: Hepatitis C Cirrhosis

RIP CATHERINE MINJARES (February 17, 1969 – December 18, 2016)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.

This was classified as an accidental drug overdose because of the intravenous narcotism, which refers to injection of drugs.
