(L.A.) Carlos Vila, 37, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 37-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Carlos Vila.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Cocaine Intoxication

Other Significant Condition: Hypertrophic Heart Disease

RIP CARLOS VILA (September 27, 1986 – May 14, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 11:05 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 13, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

This is considered an accidental overdose.
