(L.A.) Carlos Cruz, 20, Died in a Walkway Entrance

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 20-year-old Latino male that occurred in a walkway entrance.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Carlos Cruz.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Back

RIP CARLOS CRUZ (December 7, 2002 – June 9, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:15 p.m.

Deputies responded at 11:01 p.m. Friday to the 200 block of East Newburgh Street, west of South Azusa Avenue.
