Governor Gavin Newsom Places Entire State of California in Lockdown

California is now under a mandatory STAY AT HOME order. Those that work in critical sectors should go to work. Grocery stores, pharmacies, banks and more will stay open.

Just an hour earlier, Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti told city residents they will have to shelter in place, starting at midnight.

The governor has already deployed the National Guard.

He earlier estimated more than half of the 40 million people in the state would contract Covid-19 in just the next two months.

The virus has so far claimed 200 lives in the US and infected 13,678 people.
