(L.A.) Byron Paul Cruz, 46, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Latino male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Byron Paul Cruz.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Toxicity

Other Significant Conditions: Hypertensive Heart Disease; Hydromorphone Effects

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 5:35 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 8, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.
