(L.A.) Bryan Matthews Jr., 46, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Bryan Matthews Jr.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Phencyclidine

RIP BRYAN MATTHEWS JR. (April 5, 1978 – February 11, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 1:39 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-May, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
