(L.A.) Bryan Lofton, 20, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 20-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Bryan Lofton.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Head

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

The decedent was gunned down in a shooting that wounded two others inside a parking structure near the grand opening of a Marathon Burgers in Long Beach.

This happened at around 3:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Pine Avenue, near the spot where a large group of people had gathered for the opening of the eatery — part of a fast-food chain founded by the late rapper Nipsey Hussle and his family. The restaurant was built in partnership with rapper Snoop Dogg, who was in attendance at the event.
