(L.A.) Brian Williams, 47, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Brian Williams.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Toxicity

Other Significant Conditions: Obesity, Hypertension, Chronic Alcohol Use, Laennec Cirrhosis, Congestive Heart Failure

RIP BRIAN WILLIAMS (March 13, 1977 – January 26, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 2:15 p.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Laënnec cirrhosis is primarily caused by excessive and chronic alcohol consumption.
